old, before your time,<br>\u00a0\u00a0 ever since God created man upon the earth;<br>\u00a0\u00a0 ask from one end of the sky to the other:<br>\u00a0\u00a0 Did anything so great ever happen before?<br>Was it ever heard of?<br>Did a people ever hear the voice of God<br>\u00a0\u00a0 speaking from the midst of fire, as you did, and live?<br>Or did any god venture to go and take a nation for himself<br>\u00a0\u00a0 from the midst of another nation,<br>\u00a0\u00a0 by testings, by signs and wonders, by war,<br>\u00a0\u00a0 with strong hand and outstretched arm, and by great terrors,<br>\u00a0\u00a0 all of which the LORD, your God,<br>\u00a0\u00a0 did for you in Egypt before your very eyes?<br>This is why you must now know,<br>\u00a0\u00a0 and fix in your heart, that the and if children, then heirs,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; if only we suffer with him<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; so that we may also be glorified with him.<br><br><strong>The word of the Lord.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Acclamation before the Gospel<br><\/strong>Rv 1:8<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u211f.&nbsp;<strong>Alleluia, alleluia.<\/strong><br><br>Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit;<br>to God who is, who was, and who is to come.<br><br>\u211f.&nbsp;<strong>Alleluia, alleluia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-pane kt-accordion-pane kt-accordion-pane-18 kt-pane_d08bb5-ce\"><div class=\"kt-accordion-header-wrap\"><button class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-header kt-acccordion-button-label-show\"><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-title-wrap\"><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-title\"><strong>Gospel<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-icon-trigger\"><\/span><\/button><\/div><div class=\"kt-accordion-panel\"><div class=\"kt-accordion-panel-inner\">\n<p><br><strong>Mt 28:16-20<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2720\u00a0<strong>A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew<\/strong><br><br>The eleven disciples went to Galilee,<br>\u00a0\u00a0 to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them.<br>When they all saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted.<br>Then Jesus approached and said to them,<br>\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cAll power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.<br>Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations,<br>\u00a0\u00a0 baptizing them in the name of the Father,<br>\u00a0\u00a0 and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,<br>\u00a0\u00a0 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.<br>And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.\u201d<br><br>At the end of the Gospel, the Deacon, or the Priest, acclaims:<br><br><strong>The Gospel of the Lord.<\/strong><br><br>All reply:<br><br><strong>Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#fad899\"><strong>Reflection <\/strong><br><br>In the beginning of today\u2019s Gospel, we find the eleven disciples returning to Gallilee.\u00a0 Gallilee was the place where their adventure with Jesus had begun: the place where they were called, the place of their decision to leave everything to follow him.\u00a0 It was also the place from where they began their journey that led them to Jerusalem where they saw him who had chosen them, die on the Cross.\u00a0 Now they returned to Gallilee, this time as \u2018commanded\u2019 by Jesus victorious over death and sin.<br><br>The Gospel tells us they worshipped him, \u2018but some doubted\u2019.\u00a0 How true is this expression!\u00a0 Who knows how many times we knelt before the Eucharist, but found ourselves doubting him, doubting his unconditional love and fidelity.<br><br>However, we are called to believe in his Word that he is with us always, to the very end of the age.\u00a0 In this Solemnity of the Blessed Trinity, we are called to build a relationship with him as one God in three Persons:\u00a0 the Father who created us, the Son who redeemed us and the Holy Spirit who sanctifies us.\u00a0 The Trinity is a communion between three distinct persons in one God, and we as disciples are called to participate in this beautiful union.<br><br>However, as baptised Christians, we are not only called to participate in the life of the Holy Trinity, but to also share this same life with those with whom we meet.\u00a0 Last Sunday we celebrated the feast of the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Church.\u00a0 It is true that it is not easy to be sheep amongst wolves, but the Holy Spirit is with us, with his power and gifts to help us be witnesses to that which we believe.<br><br>As Pope Francis said in one of his audiences:\u00a0 And this is the grace of our faith.
