Nistgħu nagħżlu li nidħlulu bir-ras biċ-ċans li niqgħu maqbudin fih u ninħakmu mid-delużjoni. Imma nistgħu wkoll nagħżlu li nħarsu lejn u nsejħulu b’ismu u nfittxu modi kif dan il-kunflitt jissewwa. Hawnhekk, il-Papa Franġisku f’Evangelii Gaudium jipproponi t-tieni prinċipju soċjali: l-għaqda tirbaħ fuq il-kunflitt.
B’dan il-mod, tinħoloq il-possibbiltà li tixxettel komunjoni fid-differenzi, li jħabirku għaliha biss dawk il-persuni nobbli li għandhom il-kuraġġ imorru lil hemm mill-qoxra tal-kunflitti u jqisu lill-oħrajn bid-dinjità l-iżjed profonda tagħhom … Is-solidarjetà, jekk nifhmuha fit-tifsira l-iżjed profonda tagħha li tisfidana, hekk issir stil ta’ kif tinbena l-istorja, ambjent ħaj fejn il-kunflitti, it-tensjonijiet u l-opposti jistgħu jaslu għal għaqda ta’ bosta forom li ġġib ħajja ġdida.
