Salm 94 (95)
Sejħa għat-tifħir ’l Alla
Agħmlu l-qalb lil xulxin kuljum – sakemm inkunu għadna nistgħu ngħidu “llum”. (Lhud 3:13)
Ejjew, ħa nfaħħru bl-hena l-Mulej,
ħa ngħajtu bil-ferħ lill-blata tas-salvazzjoni tagħna!
Nersqu quddiemu b’għana ta’ radd il-ħajr,
ngħannulu b’għajat ta’ ferħ.
Ant. Ġesù, Isem tal-għaġeb li hu fuq kull isem, ejjew nadurawh.
Għax Alla kbir hu l-Mulej,
sultan kbir fuq l-allat kollha.
F’idejh huma qigħan l-art,
tiegħu huma l-qċaċet tal-għoljiet.
Tiegħu l-baħar, għax hu għamlu;
tiegħu l-art, għax b’idejh saret.
Ant. Ġesù, Isem tal-għaġeb li hu fuq kull isem, ejjew nadurawh.
Ejjew inqimuh u ninxteħtu quddiemu,
għarkupptejna quddiem il-Mulej li ħalaqna!
Għaliex hu Alla tagħna,
u aħna l-poplu tal-mergħa tiegħu u n-nagħaġ tiegħu.
Ant. Ġesù, Isem tal-għaġeb li hu fuq kull isem, ejjew nadurawh.
Mhux li kontu llum tisimgħu leħnu!
“La twebbsux qalbkom bħal f’Meriba,
bħal dakinhar f’Massa, fid-deżert,
meta ġarrbuni u ttantawni missirijietkom,
għalkemm raw dak li jien għamilt.
Ant. Ġesù, Isem tal-għaġeb li hu fuq kull isem, ejjew nadurawh.
Għal erbgħin sena domt nistmellu dan in-nisel;
u jien għedt: ‘Qalbu mħassra dan il-poplu,
u triqati ma jagħrfux.’
Għalhekk ħlift fl-għadab tiegħi:
Ma jidħlux fil-mistrieħ tiegħi!”.
Ant. Ġesù, Isem tal-għaġeb li hu fuq kull isem, ejjew nadurawh.
Glorja lill-Missier u lill-Iben
u lill-Ispirtu s-Santu.Kif kien mill-bidu, issa u dejjem
u jibqa’ għal dejjem ta’ dejjem. Amen.
Ant. Ġesù, Isem tal-għaġeb li hu fuq kull isem, ejjew nadurawh.

Psalm 95
A call to praise God
Encourage each other daily while it is still today (Hebrews 3:13).
Come, let us sing to the Lord *
and shout with joy to the Rock who saves us.
Let us approach him with praise and thanksgiving *
and sing joyful songs to the Lord.
Ant. Christ is born for us; come, let us adore him.
The Lord is God, the mighty God, *
the great king over all the gods.
He holds in his hands the depths of the earth *
and the highest mountains as well.
He made the sea; it belongs to him, *
the dry land, too, for it was formed by his hands.
Ant. Christ is born for us; come, let us adore him.
Come, then, let us bow down and worship, *
bending the knee before the Lord, our maker.
For he is our God and we are his people, *
the flock he shepherds.
Ant. Christ is born for us; come, let us adore him.
Today, listen to the voice of the Lord: †
Do not grow stubborn, as your fathers did
in the wilderness, *
when at Meriba and Massah
they challenged me and provoked me, *
Although they had seen all of my works.
Ant. Christ is born for us; come, let us adore him.
Forty years I endured that generation. *
I said, “They are a people whose hearts go astray
and they do not know my ways.”
So I swore in my anger, *
“They shall not enter into my rest.”
Ant. Christ is born for us; come, let us adore him.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, *
and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, *
and will be for ever. Amen.
Ant. Christ is born for us; come, let us adore him.
