Salm 46 (47)

Il-Mulej sultan tal-ħolqien kollu
Qiegħed fuq il-lemin tal-Missier, u s-saltna tiegħu ma jkollhiex tmiem. 

Popli kollha, ċapċpu jdejkom, *
għajtu b’leħen ta’ ferħ lil Alla!
Għax il-Mulej, l-Għoli, hu tal-biża’, *
sultan kbir fuq l-art kollha. 

Irażżan il-popli taħtna, *
u l-ġnus iqiegħed taħt riġlejna.
Hu jagħżlilna l-wirt tagħna, *
il-kburija ta’ Ġakobb, il-maħbub tiegħu.
Tela’ Alla b’għajat ta’ ferħ, *
il-Mulej bid-daqq tat-trombi. 

Għannu lil Alla, għannu, *
għannu lis-sultan tagħna, għannu.
Għax Alla s-sultan tal-art kollha: *
għannulu bis-sengħa għanja sabiħa. 

Isaltan Alla fuq il-ġnus kollha, *
joqgħod Alla fuq it-tron imqaddes tiegħu.
Jinġemgħu l-kbarat tal-popli *
mal-poplu ta’ Alla ta’ Abraham.
Għax ta’ Alla huma l-kapijiet tal-art; *
hu fil-għoli ħafna fuq kulħadd. 

Glorja.

Psalm 47
The Lord Jesus is King of all

He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and his kingdom will have no end.

All peoples, clap your hands, *
cry to God with shouts of joy!
For the Lord, the Most High, we must fear, *
great king over all the earth.

He subdues peoples under us *
and nations under our feet.
Our inheritance, our glory, is from him, *
given to Jacob out of love.

God goes up with shouts of joy; *
the Lord goes up with trumpet blast.
Sing praise for God, sing praise, *
sing praise to our king, sing praise.

God is king of all the earth. *
Sing praise with all your skill.
God is king over the nations; *
God reigns on his holy throne.

The princes of the peoples are assembled *
with the people of Abraham’s God.
The rulers of the earth belong to God, *
to God who reigns over all.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son *
and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, *
and will be for ever. Amen.
