Tista’ ssegwi l-qari kollu bil-Lingwa tas-Sinjali Maltija.
Lectio Divina
Illum tagħlaq is-sena liturġika, u li dan l-għeluq iseħħ bis-solennità ta’ Kristu Sultan mhuwiex kumbinazzjoni jew koinċidenza. Jekk l-ikbar xewqa tal-Lhud minn żmien it-Testment il-Qadim kienet li jkollhom Sultan li jkun is-Salvatur tagħhom, u għalhekk ikun it-tama tagħhom bħala poplu, ix-xewqa ta’ kull bniedem hija li ħajtu tkun immarkata bit-tama u l-hena, anki qalb id-dlamijiet kollha li hemm barra minna u ġo fina. U dan is-Sultan fl-aħħar jiġi, preżentat quddiemna llum mhux kif insibuh f’bosta pitturi u opri artistiċi oħra f’ħafna mill-knejjes tagħna, imlibbes bl-eleganza kollha ta’ re temporali u mżejjen b’kuruna tad-deheb, imma mżeblaħ u mlibbes kuruna tax-xewk. Din l-immaġni ta’ Ġesù Sultan jagħtihielna l-Evanġelista San Ġwann eżattament fin-nofs ta’ djalogu interessanti u ironiku bejn Ġesù u Pilatu, u fin-nofs eżatt ta’ seba’ ħarġiet u daħliet ta’ Ġesù waqt li jkun fil-Pretorju tal-Gvernatur Ruman. Dawn u bosta dettalji oħra letterarji jservu biss biex jenfasizzaw l-importanza ta’ din l-immaġni ta’ Ġesù, li għandha tkun fiċ-ċentru ta’ ħajjet kull nisrani.
U d-djalogu ta’ Ġesù ma’ Pilatu fl-Evanġelju tal-lum jikxef ir-raġuni ta’ dan. Fl-aħħar vers Ġesù jistqarr li ġie fid-dinja biex juri l-verità: “U kull min iħobb il-verità jisma’ leħni.” Tixtieq int li tiskopri u toqrob dejjem aktar lejn il-verità ta’ ħajtek? Lejn dak li jista’ jsalvak mill-vizzji u l-ktajjen tal-ħażen, jimliek bit-tama f’kull tbatija, jagħtik faraġ fil-kuntrarju, u jqawwilek qalbek quddiem kull inġustizzja? Hemm wisq ilħna madwarna li jwiegħduna dan kollu, u bosta nies fdaw fihom, forsi nies li nafu u huma qrib tagħna. U spiċċaw diżappuntati, imqarrqa, migduma.
Imma hemm ukoll dawk, li wkoll huma bosta, li ġenwinament ippruvaw iwettqu dak li l-leħen tal-Mulej Ġesù wasslilhom. U r-riżultat kien għal kollox differenti. Dawn skoprew li s-sultan li l-bniedem għandu bżonn huwa wieħed li jifhem tassew in-niket, il-biżgħat u l-ansjetajiet profondi tal-qalb, li għexhom hu wkoll, u li għandu soluzzjoni għalihom, u li jaf imexxi u jiggwida lil kull persuna kemm minn wara biex iqawwi l-qalb u jimbotta l-karru tal-ħajja, min-nofs biex jaqsam kull esperjenza umana, u kif ukoll minn quddiem biex juri t-triq. Ġesù dan jagħmlu bil-Kelma li jagħtina f’kull Evanġelju u f’kull liturġija tal-Kelma, minn fuq is-Salib bl-għotja ta’ ħajtu bl-imħabba sħiħa, u kif ukoll minn ġol-qabar vojt li ħalla warajh. Isaltan ukoll billi jqanqal qlub ta’ tant nies madwar il-globu li nabitaw biex iħobbu, jagħtu ħajjithom fl-imħabba u jgħixu bit-tama li, permezz ta’ kull att uman tagħhom magħmul bil-fidi, Alla kapaċi jsalva d-dinja … u f’din is-salvazzjoni int u jien ikollna sehem ukoll!

Mulej Ġesù, aħna nixtiequk u rriduk tkun is-Sultan tagħna. Idħol u għammar fil-qalb fraġli, għajjiena u kultant konfuża tagħna, u imlieha bl-Ispirtu Qaddis tiegħek, biex f’kulma nagħmlu nfittxu r-rieda tiegħek li teħlisna minn kull jasar temporali, u nitgħallmu nħobbu bla ma nfittxu l-ebda ħlas lura. Agħmilna strumenti denji għall-bini tas-Saltna tiegħek, Saltna mibnija fuq l-imħabba, tama, kompassjoni u manswetudni. Ammen.
